Growing up in a dog-loving family, my passion for animals, especially dogs, has been a significant part of my life since an early age. In 2014, while working in retail management in Houston, TX, I had the opportunity to visit my first dog bar, and it was a transformative experience. From that moment on, I dedicated myself to building expertise in dog-related knowledge and hospitality.

My journey towards mastering the dog bar industry involved volunteering with rescues, managing an indoor dog park, daycare, boarding, and grooming facility, as well as working as a bartender/server at a local bar. Along the way, I made it a point to visit various dog bars across the country, absorbing knowledge and gaining valuable insights.

When I discovered the opening of Bar K Dog Bar in Kansas City, it was an irresistible opportunity. I spent the next five years at Bar K, progressively working my way up from bartender to Hospitality Manager, General Manager, and finally as the Director of Store Operations for three highly successful, multi-million dollar locations.

My time at Bar K, coupled with my current work assisting other dog bars, has given me an in-depth understanding of the intricate nuances and unique challenges involved in running a thriving dog bar. I am driven by my passion for seamless operations, cultivating a knowledgeable and positive team, and ultimately creating a safe, enjoyable, and exceptional experience for both human visitors and their furry companions.
